(1) [To the king, my lord: your servant Nabû-ahhe-eriba]. [Good health to the k]ing, my lord! May [Nabû] and Marduk bless the king, my lord! (7) Concerning the report on the lunar eclipse about which the king, my lord, wrote to me — they used to receive and introduce all astrological reports into the presence of the father of the king, my lord. Afterwards, a man whom the father of the king, my lord, knew, used to read them to the king in a qirsu on the river bank. Nowadays it should be done as it (best) suits the king, my lord.
